BULA! Our Fiji island resort is an award-winning iconic private island escape embodying the heart and soul of the South Pacific. The island's 174 acres are covered in rich tropical rainforest, surrounded by white sand beaches, vibrant coral reefs and azure waters. Even though getting to Castaway from Fiji's mainland is just a short trip by either seaplane, helicopter or boat, when you're on the shores of our tropical island escape you feel a million miles away. ACCOMMODATION !
Our Fiji Accommodation comprises of 66 bures (bungalows) that are dotted throughout the resort with ample space between each one. We upgrade the island's accommodation regularly and have had many bure (bungalow) refurbishments – the most recent being an overhaul of our bure bathrooms.
The island aims to provide traditional and authentic Fiji accommodation. This is achieved through the use of locally made tapa-lined ceilings and thatched roofing for each bure. The result is stylish, comfortable Fiji island accommodation that remains true to Fijian heritage and culture..

Creative Island Cuisine – Fijian culinary theme nights and more
Castaway offers an excellent range of dining options with a focus on relaxed informality. Dine al fresco under a canopy of evening stars at the Water's Edge restaurant. Enjoy one of our hand selected wines from around the world as a complement to creative island cuisine featuring the best and freshest local and imported products.
Our innovative menus offer a tempting array of selections. Crisp salads, delicious pastas, imported prime beef and locally caught seafood feature daily.
The Sundowner bar with it's wood-fired gourmet pizza oven offers an additional dining venue that is not to be missed.
Wednesday is 'Lovo' night
Our Castaway family 'meke' group will entertain with a traditional Fijian song and dance performance followed by a 'Lovo' buffet feast featuring South Pacific cuisine at its finest.
Saturday is 'Tatavu' night
This is a "picnic outdoor feast' – a great tasting spectacle. We get the chef's out of the kitchen and into 'live' cooking stations. Right before your eyes, with the aid of woks and barbeques they will prepare fresh, delicious and creative flamed-grilled meals. Not to be missed.
Children's meals
Castaway cares and caters for children. Our children's lunch, evening and buffet menus change daily and feature healthy burgers, tempting sandwiches, fresh vegetables, salads, stir-fries and a variety of fresh fruits, pastries and ice-creams.

The Wedding Ceremony Package
An eye for detail ensures everything will be looked after, so all you have to worry about is keeping your eyes on one another.
NOTE: Getting married on Castaway consists of two parts. The registration of the intent to marry and the actual wedding ceremony. Your package includes an escort to the Registry office AND the wedding ceremony.
Whether on our Jetty or on the beach, you'll receive the following in your wedding package…
- Private car transfers and escort to the Registry office -
- Donation and return boat transfers for the minister or celebrant -
- Wedding decorations, flowers, bouquet and boutonniere -

Cancellation Policy: Any booking cancelled between 7 - 21 days of travel will incur a 1 night's cancellation.
Bookings cancelled 7 days or less from the date of travel or no shows will be charged a 100% cancellation.
