Moody's Namena
Rising dramatically from the depths of the Koro Sea and on the fringe of Bligh Waters, lies the mile-long 110 acre island of Namenalala, surrounded by one of Fiji's most pristine diving and snorkeling reef ecosystems known as the Namena Barrier Reef. Namenalala Island is dwarfed by the extensive Namena Barrier Reef. In its geological history, it was part of Vanua Levu as the depth within the reef is less than 100 feet. At the North Save-a-Tack Passage, the wall drops over 5000 feet at the site they call Grand Canyon. Namenalala resembles a dragon, rising dramatically from the sea. Nature trails have been carved across the body of the dragon where, at the highest point, you will find remains of an ancient ring - fortification. Moody's Namena Resort is located on the long sandy beach near the tail of the dragon. Less than 10 of its 110 acres have been developed for Moody's.
