The Wakaya Club & Spa is a luxury private island resort unlike any other in the world. The Wakaya Club & Spa is situated on the Western leeward side of Wakaya Island, Fiji – a private 2,200 acre tropical idyll that is one of 333 islands that comprise the Fiji archipelago. Wakaya Island has the benefit of being surrounded by a protected coral reef, and boasts azure lagoons, majestic cliffs and powder white sand beaches.

The Wakaya Club & Spa is comprised of ten free-standing waterfront Fijian cottage suites or bures (pronounced boo-rays), including seven private Ocean View Bures, a Garden View Bure, Governor's Bure and Ambassador's Bure. Each bure is a luxurious hideaway located just steps from the Pacific ocean, and is designed to indulge you in the beauty of the island while providing every conceivable comfort.
Each bure offers 1,650 square feet of privacy and serenity, and includes the following:
Secluded rear garden and two covered outdoor decks
Bedroom with ample closet space and four-poster king size bed clad in the finest Fili D'Oro 100% cotton sheets from Italy
Bathroom with oversized soaking tub, two vanities, open-air, lava rock shower and separate W.C. and bidet
Gracious living room with wet bar, CD player, a collection of CDs and iPod connections
Cathedral ceilings, woven bamboo wall covering and indigenous yaka timber flooring
Hunter fans, in addition to air conditioning, throughout
Tibetan rugs, Asian decorative arts and a selection of your own reading materials
A double-hammock, strung between coconut palms, just outside the bure
Please note that, by design, Ocean View Bures and Garden View Bures are not equipped with televisions or telephones, except for an intercom to contact Reception. Unlimited high-speed Internet access is available in each bure.
In addition to our Ocean View and Garden View Bures, we offer two additional bures: the Governor's Bure, the Ambassador's Bure and one 3-bedroom Villa - Vale O.

Breeze is a couple’s spa replete with a body-temperature salt water, water shiatsu/plunge pool, overlooking an azure lagoon. Breeze has been designed especially with you in mind, as the ultimate venue for restorative pampering. The spa offers the most sensational massages ever, utilizing a hybrid Shiatsu/Swedish technique.
DINING !
The Wakaya Club & Spa specializes in Pacific Rim cuisine inspired by the island’s plentiful resources. There is locally grown venison and pork, and shellfish and fish drawn from the Koro Sea. Pacific green lobster, shrimp, swordfish, tuna, wahoo, walu and mahi mahi all show up on the daily changing menu.
There are organic herbs, lettuces and vegetables planted by moon phase. And fresh fruit ripened in season by the Wakaya sun; avocado branches so heavy with fruit they touch the ground; and bushels of mangoes, kumkuats and guava.
The Wakaya Club & Spa has recently added micro-greens to its range of ‘home grown’ organics. Micro-greens are tiny delicate plants; the first few leaves developed after sprouting are eaten usually at 8 to 14 days old. They come in just about any variety an edible plant does - mild licorice-flavored micro-fennel, nutty, peppery micro-arugula, sweet micro-spinach, feathery intense micro-celery. There are earthy bulls blood beet greens and spicy hot micro-radish. Delicate light green cress, mizuna, Japanese sprouting radish, golden Swiss chard, sweet purple basil.
Micro-greens are smaller and more tender than baby lettuces, yet more robust and flavorful than sprouts! They add texture, architecture and bursts of flavor. Micro-greens are considered to be in the group of what are newly referred to as “functional foods” which are food products that contain particular health promoting or disease preventing properties that are additional to their normal nutritional values
Here, dining is a distinct pleasure, prepared in a state-of-the-art kitchen by four Fijian chefs (and two pastry chefs) who understand the simplicity that underlies sophisticated cuisine. Every meal includes wonderful choices, and the kitchen staff is adept at accommodating dietary requirements without compromising flavor or presentation.

Check-in/Check-out times
Since many international flights arrive in Fiji at daybreak, The Wakaya Club & Spa offers a guaranteed early-morning check-in at 7:00 am so that you can retreat to the luxury of your island cottage (bure) the moment you arrive. By the same token, our afternoon check-out at 4:00 pm allows you to take full advantage of the last day of your stay. Designed entirely for your comfort and convenience, this unique amenity eliminates the need for day rooms and both of these amenities add two extra days of vacation at no charge.
Conditions & Cancellations !
Due to our intimate size, any cancellation affects us significantly. Consequently, we adhere to the following cancellation policy:
Your payments (less $500 per bure reserved or $1,500 for Vale O) will be refunded if we receive notification up until 60 days prior to your arrival. Cancellations within 60 days of arrival are subject to full forfeiture of all monies received. We will make every effort to re-book. We will refund your monies (less $500 per bure reserved or $1,500 for Vale 0) for each night we achieve 100% resort occupancy during your reserved dates of stay.
