Viwa Island Resort is a Fijian resort of exotic beauty. Incorporated in the beautiful Yasawa Islands and approximately 48 nautical miles northwest of Denarau, Viwa Island is pure heaven.
Viwa Island Resort is a beautiful, small, intimate, affordable boutique resort catering for adults only. Viwa does not cater for children under 12 years of age. With only 11 Deluxe Beachfront Bures, a stay at Viwa is very special and certainly one to remember!
The island is surrounded by a blossoming rich colourful coral reef that is abundant with a variety of aquatic life, thus making it a fantastic place for diving, fishing, snorkelling and other water sports. It has a beautiful white sandy beach and pristine, crystal clear turquoise water.

DINNING!
Our restaurant cuisine/menu has been designed by an exciting chef catering to all tastes and other dietary needs. The restaurant has a variety of cuisine specializing in fresh seafood caught locally and fresh produce grown at the resort.
A variety of fish are in abundance nearby Viwa Island Resort so there is a variety of seafood offered on the menu and it is caught daily.
Also the resort has its own organic garden. So a lot of the fruit and vegetables used in the restaurant are freshly grown in this garden.
Continental breakfast is included in the room tariff. This consists of fruit juice, fresh seasonal tropical fruit, choice of assorted cereals, freshly made muffins, toast, choice of preserves, tea and coffee.
Lunch and dinner feature a la carte menus and daily blackboard specials. Dinner menus are changed daily on a weekly rotation basis so there is plenty of variety. A Meal Plan is available.
Meals are available in the main restaurant overlooking the beautiful ocean or under the stars on the terrace. Romantic dinners on the beach are also available for special occasions.
ACCOMMODATION !
Viwa Island Resort has 11 beachfront bures. There are eight Deluxe Beachfront Bures and three Deluxe Two Bedroom Beachfront Bures. They are all traditional Fijian style bures with thatched roofs and high vaulted ceilings.
Deluxe Beachfront Bures
These eight bures are all beachfront, free-standing, very spacious and beautifully appointed. They are air-conditioned, as well as having ceiling fans. They have tea/coffee making facilities, coffee plunger, refrigerator, hairdryer, in room safe, iron and ironing board, clock, plus a comfortable lounge area with a 2 seater sofa, single chair and coffee table giving plenty of area to relax in. They all have a large covered balcony overlooking the beautiful ocean with a sun lounge.
They all have a private ensuite bathroom. The bathrooms are quite unique allowing outdoor natural light into the bathroom with a lovely garden. The bathrooms include a separate shower, toilet and vanity area with 'Pure Fiji' toiletries.
The Deluxe Beachfront Bures have one king size bed (or two king single beds) and are suitable for 2 people.
Deluxe Two Bedroom Beachfront Bures
These three bures are all beachfront, free-standing, very spacious and beautifully appointed. They are air-conditioned, as well as having ceiling fans. They have tea/coffee making facilities, coffee plunger, refrigerator, hairdryer, in room safe, iron and ironing board, clock, plus a comfortable lounge area with a 2 seater sofa, single chair and coffee table giving plenty of area to relax in. They have a concertina wall separating the bure to allow privacy. They all have a large covered balcony overlooking the beautiful ocean with a sun lounge.
They all have a private ensuite bathroom. The bathrooms are quite unique allowing outdoor natural light into the bathroom with a lovely garden. The bathrooms include a separate shower, toilet and vanity area with 'Pure Fiji' toiletries.
The Deluxe Two Bedroom Beachfront Bures have one king size bed and two king single beds (or 4 king single beds) and are suitable for 4 people.
ACTIVITIES!
Snorkelling is a very popular activity at Viwa. You can swim straight off the beach out to the edge of the reef where you will see a myriad of colourful fish and coral. Snorkels, masks and fins are all provided complimentary.
If you would like to experience some other areas you can also go
on a snorkelling safari with the Dive Instructor.
We have a number of cultural activities at the resort that you can participate in if you wish, such as hat and basket weaving, sulu tying lessons and coconut husking.
Kayaks are also provided complimentary for your enjoyment. Enjoy a paddle in the pristine, crystal clear waters.
Table tennis is a very popular activity with the staff so you will get the opportunity to test your skills in various competitions.
A number of beach games are played regularly including beach volleyball and petanque (boules). Come and join in the fun where you will find Fiji vs The World daily.
